Christopher Reinert's past jobs
Position: Sr. Electrical Engineer. IP (colorization at night algorithms), architecture, FPGA and HW Design of several lowlight CMOS cameras embedding proprietary HD sensor. Created HDMI, SDI, CameraLink , USB, and analog IO modules. Also developed battery powered handheld night/day color camera with recording capability
Designed several successful night vision cooled and uncooled IR camera efforts for 320x240, 640x480 to HD resolutions for military, government and commercial applications. Designed IP in verilog and VHDL for video processing, television standards, CameraLink, motor control and serial interfaces. Designed FPGAs using internally developed infrared sensor chips and electro-optical assemblies. Designed power, battery and processing PCB’s.
Formed Petejas, Inc to design and supply chips, modules and evaluation platforms for Pelco, a leading supplier of video security systems. Designed a single chip mixed signal ASIC to implement a PTZ(Pan Tilt Zoom) dome security camera with embedded ADC's, DAC's, memory and ARM926 processor. ASIC was functional first pass and released on time for volume production of the Spectra family cameras and derivatives.
Aided with funding, project management and contracts for Maryland based power line communications startup. Defined architecture and specs, implemented control systems and DSP processing of single chip transmitter/receiver for “last mile” applications with proprietary 100Mb data rate IP. Created FPGA, PCB and demo for modem, camera, and internet applications. Applied for patents on technology.
Lead ASIC Physical design team to successful completion of seven (7) "many million gate" ASICs in the development of a world-class optical router. Collaborated with Fujitsu to develop and integrate high-speed IO interfaces (LVDS, CDR, SERDES, Flip Chip technology) to enable and implement architecture.
Developed low cost 1024x768 LCOS (liquid crystal on silicon) display chip. Created algorithms for reference card and demo applications within controller FPGAs for front/rear projection TV and head mount displays to validate technology and promote sales and funding.
Program management, hardware design and development of a low cost, USB interface, CCD based digital video camera chipset and IP for Logitech.
Established Chicago Design Center. Responsible for regional management and development of VLSI ASIC designs, design tool sales, and design center revenue. Designed/consulted more than 50 CMOS custom, standard cell or gate array ASIC circuits into production with a first time success rate of 97%.
