Specifically in house and external labs in Europe. -Represent Tesla at the EPA for confirmatory testing of unreleased and pro-type vehicles that will be released to the public and interface with regulatory agencies and industrial peers. -Assist with meeting deadlines for ZEV credit accruals for multiple regions -Create all test procedures necessary for EPA to conduct successful 5 cycle testing. -Work closely with various groups (Modeling, System architecture, Chassis controls, HV battery, Thermal, Low voltage, and firmware) to achieve predicted consumption and range numbers. -Communicate with upper management and program management on test schedule, test results, and any matter at hand. -Main contact for proving grounds and external lab testing -Responsible for building all upcoming proto-type vehicle and ensure they meet production standards. -Assist with multiple groups in development testing to achieve optimal range results. -Manage and responsible for training and educating Tesla range team to complete range (Coastdowns and Chassis dyno) testing for every region company chooses to release vehicles. -Responsible for equipment calibration and Chassis dyno maintenance.
