Born of the marriage of design and science, Sericyne shapes natural silk through the mastery of a unique technique. Our silk, which has the sheen and lightness of organza, inspires some of the most exclusive names in the world of haute couture and luxury interior decor. Sericyne is a prestigious enterprise that possesses exceptional know-how. We master a rare technique: the shaping of silk by the silkworm itself. Rather than spinning cocoons as they would usually do, our silkworms spin a variety of shapes. Sericyne silk shines and glistens. It is a robust, elegant material. Sericyne creates collections of two- or three-dimensional shapes made of natural silk. These silk shapes metamorphose into lamps, wall hangings and fashion accessories, following the inspiration of fashion designers and decorators. We also make pieces to special order. Once the shaped silk has been produced, dyes, embroidery, stitching or even embossing may combine with our natural silk to create new colours, feels and light effects. Sericyne uses silkworms raised in Europe, notably in France, carefully selecting the best species to produce an exceptional silk in our workshops in Paris, for our clients in the luxury industry. www.sericyne.fr
