Overview: Responsible for capturing market trends that are aligned to Venus Fashion's brand vision. Manage design process from conception through production. Conduct market research to identify seasonal color, new trends, fabrics and design inspiration. Collaborate with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to the line and create new concepts. •Communicate a swimwear style strategy that aligns with the business and integrity of the brand •Collaborate with Design Director on overarching theme to produce seasonal trend and color direction, fabrics and silhouettes •Responsible for process improvement and seeking opportunities to positively affect the Design organization and company •Work with Sourcing and Raw Materials Team to develop original textures and patterns •Design brand appropriate styles based on customer needs and trends: including new notions, cups, wires, and testing development styles •Partner with Sourcing, Merch and Tech teams to deliver seasonal brand appropriate product assortment •Create initial development tech packs in Product Design System •Develop Trend and Line Presentations for milestone meetings •Successfully follow product development cycle steps to execute all designs into production •Shop national/international markets for new ideas and inspiration •Create and update an accurate pre-production BOM for all swimwear product •Other responsibilities include the development of presentation boards, flat sketches and fashion illustration, detailed specs, and fabric/trim research and allocations
