Danielle LiVolsi's current jobs
People who know Danielle LiVolsi describe her as a mission-driven dynamo. Her tenacity was evident in her early media career with a New York City publisher and a top-ranked San Diego radio station, so it’s no surprise she dreamed up an entirely new natural food category while perusing the peanut butter and jelly aisle of her local grocery store! Searching for protein and nutrient-rich options for her adopted sons, she found plenty of peanut butter, some almond butter … and that’s about it. Once home, Danielle grabbed her food processor and blended every possible combination of nuts and seeds, taste-testing along the way with the help of her sons, until Nuttzo was born. Today, NuttZo has a well-deserved reputation as one of the most innovative brands in the natural food movement. Its product line ranges from multi-nut and seed butters to suit every palate (including keto, paleo and vegan palates), to a five-seed butter called Tahini Fusion, to superfood-rich snack bars for stellar on-the-go nutrition. Danielle began her career in sales, working for an international publisher based in New York City. After relocating to San Diego, she spent nine years as Senior Account Executive and Director of New Business Development for radio station KFMB, but she always wanted to have her own business. She excels at high-level strategy development and management and has a passion for building innovative lifestyle brands in the natural food space. When she launched Nuttzo in 2008, Danielle also co-founded Project Left Behind (PLB), a non-profit whose mission is to help orphaned and disadvantaged children in Peru. PLB is supported by every sale of NuttZo products.
