This role was initially based out of Perth before relocating to Vietnam, this role required overseeing and managing the mine camp building, construction and residential sites to ensure the safety and security of the workers whilst minimizing shrinkage and theft, skills included ability to identify potential hazards, implementation of new strategies and methodologies and the execution of business development and assertive improvement relating to security response time with the creation of new policies and procedures. Throughout this period many achievements and accolades have been identified and highlighted due to the range of skills and abilities within various sectors of the industry some are as follows: Reduced the availability of corruption using fixed pricing and systematic reviewing of PO’s, increased local purchasing from 75% to 95%, reducing freight costs and overall product costs, implemented 6 monthly performance reviews, created and implemented all Supply and Purchasing policies and procedures, introduced cyclic menu system and Best Food Practice methodologies, reducing overall food costs, procurement from locally sourced supplies and implementation of a structured food purchasing system, ability to identify and mentor strengths in staff, passionate about ensuring all Key Performance Indicators are achieved and exceeded, upholding high standards of work ethics and ensuring all tasks are completed on time and within budget, ensure compliance with Local, State and Federal laws, legislation and regulations including Workplace Health, Security and Safety whilst motivating and inspiring the team through positive leadership and role modelling, promoting elite organisational and time management skills and developed use of SAP, Pronto, Flowcentric and Qlikview. This position oversaw the entire integrated logistics and supply chain, execute effective planning, procurement and inventory decisions, developed product knowledge and information regarding warehousing and storage, freight transport and operational management, developed understanding of security and safety in distribution, logistics and the environment, execution of cost and performance monitoring, benchmarking, overseeing the warehouse management and information, ability to analysis factors influencing Modal Choice in relation to the International Logistics Strategy, overseeing maritime, air, rail and road logistics and transportation, demonstrated initialization with prospective customers and businesses, identified and implemented strategic policies and procedures throughout the mine site to improve bottom line, reducing food costs by 50%, increasing locally sourced produce by 90%, demonstrated ability to build rapport within the community and effectively locate and implement resources to assist in maintaining and improving supply and logistical aspects of the mined product. Use of SAP, Pronto, Flowcentric and Qlikview "I look after all matters relating to Supply and Logistics for the operation, including tenders, contracts and international supply. In May 2015, I also took on the role of facilities manager, managing the operations of the camp and the buildings on site. Since being here I contributed to the tenders and identified key areas of high-value stock savings for the site. I have also been changing the way we procure to the point that almost 95% of what we purchase is now bought in Vietnam. I also have great interpersonal and communication skills and engage in inviting and hosting local manufacturers to attend our site providing a professional review and identification of key factors in a more realistic environment. Tasks and duties included project management, site supervision, ensure completion of assigned tasks on time and within budget, teach and demonstrate the techniques of the mining industry as assigned, organize work crews for maximum efficiency of workers and material, ensure affiliate Safety Program was being adhered to at all times, mentor staff on correct tool use and safety, maintain safe working conditions, responsible for equipment and tools assigned on a daily basis, display effective interpersonal and communications skills within a group environment, overseeing the Supply & Logistics, Infrastructure Maintenance, Site Village and management of the village contractor and Site Administration including the supervisor of 22 senior staff members, use of SAP, Pronto, Flowcentric and Qlikview.
