David Allum's current jobs
I work in general practice providing both audit and non-audit advice to a wide range of small to medium sized entities. I specialise in advising owner managed and family businesses, as well as organisations in the charity and not-for-profit sector. I am responsible for a wide portfolio of general practice owner managed business clients, covering sole traders and partnerships and limited companies, both non audit and audits turning over up to £25m. Also experience of dealing with groups of companies, including dealing with international subsidiaries and consolidation. I also assist partners on ad-hoc projects requiring financial skills, auditing grant claims etc as well as providing technical assistance to a wide range of internal and external clients. I use the commercial skills noted above to work successfully in the not for profit sector and advise a portfolio of charity clients, both audit and independent examination, on compliance and governance matters as well as navigating them through post pandemic challenges. I am part of UHY International and have contacts across the globe. I can assist you to do business internationally by introducing you to these contacts whom I personally know. One of my main drivers is the sense of achievement from helping a client overcome an obstacle by providing effective and timely solutions to achieve their strategy. This applies equally to commercial and not for profit clients. I especially love talking with not for profit clients right now to help them in the current environment. Happy to meet for a coffee and chat to discuss how myself and UHY can help.
