The objective is to build a efficient (usable every day), aesthetic and cheap body powered prosthetic hand For this, we want to use massive 3D printing technology and the hand will be Open Source to allow every user to get one. The challenge is ON and Prototype is expected soon
In Charge of an applied research Laboratory with a pragmatic exploration goal: to explore, test and build, proof of concept of new actuators, sensors and complex mechatronic sub-systems dedicated to Robotic needs. • Created a team of 5 highly skilled engineers in Mechanics, Firmware and Software. • Develop and Analyzed complex mechatronic prototype (hand, leg) to align technological explorations on company goals. • Elaborated the budget of the activity and potential growth for the future. • Identified, analyzed potential key technologies for the company.
In Charge of a software department dedicated to bring agility to NAO a biped robot (walk, stabilisation, fall management, choreography…) • Created a team of 8 highly skilled engineers and researcher in Mathematics, Physics and Software. • Invent, develop and deploy biped locomotion skills for the robot. • Huge interaction with mechatronics, supply and production team to deploy and improve the NAO robot. (fall management, auto diagnosis..)
Bruno Maisonnier found Aldebaran Robotics in October 2005, with me as a phD student and an other electronic engineer. I was in charge of NAO design, mechatronic conception and locomotion control. • Supervised external shape design. • Define the geometry, kinematic and dynamic of the robot. • Contribution on the development of the robot leg actuator. • Development of the first stable walk engine and external perturbation stabiliser.
