Project Manager (Transition and Transformation Manager & Deal Implementation Manager (2006 – 2009) Responsible for project and programme management for the implementation of various IT projects within various customers, both local and global including SA Breweries, Anglo American, Sara Lee. Worked with various implementation teams both local and global eg SW Radia Team(Scotland), Savvy Asset Management Teams (Netherlands), Deskside Support Teams etc. Was the ADM (Account Delivery Manager) for Sara Lee after the project implementation for 12 months before the handover to the Global ADM. Tasks included call monitoring, escalation management, monthly customer SLA reporting.
Responsible for managing the HP operational spares parts logistic environment for South Africa and Sub Sahara, which included the escalation management. The spares operation included the parts management from normal warranty parts to mission critical customer on-site parts. Managed a team of 35 personnel country wide, which included subcontractors. The staff performed various logistic, warehousing, material handling and material planning and other administration tasks. Key member of the project team to source, evaluate and implement the ISE region 3rd Party Logistics provider. Also managed 3PL (3rd Party Logistics) logistics suppliers providing various supply chain and logistics services. Designed and developed a Warehouse & logistics operations manual, which was accepted and incorporating in the MEMA / ISE region.
1998 to 1999: Connectivity Technologies; Plessey Systems; Dimension Data (acquisitions) Managed the implementation of various IT Projects across the full range of IT equipment, within South Africa, utilizing my project management skills from inception to project sign-off. (N6 National Diploma) Rank at resignation: Captain Project Manager for the Avionic division on multiple SAAF project which mainly consisted of: * Harvard upgrade * Dakota DC3 transformation to the Dakota DC3 TP, which included the Maritime Search and Rescue upgrades. Project management included the intergration of the different disciplines eg Electrical, Instruments, Aircraft Fitter, Draughtsman, Configuration Management, Test Engineers & Test Pilots, Aernautical Engineers and 12 subcontrators and their teams.
