Deborah Boedicker

In April of 2017, Mackenzie was diagnosed with Amyloidosis, a rare and deadly bone marrow disorder that causes a buildup of abnormal protein in vital organs, eventually leading to organ failure. She has since successfully undergone treatment at the Mayo Clinic, thanks to her early diagnosis. As a result, Mackenzie’s Mission was created in order to spread awareness and promote early detection through the Amyloidosis Speakers Bureau, and raise money to support Amyloidosis research at leading medical institutions, such as the Mayo Clinic. The goal is to make a difference in the fight against amyloidosis and improve patient survival.
