LEX is a new way to invest in real estate. LEX turns individual buildings into public stocks. • Lead a cross-functional team through the design, QA, and ongoing development of the LEX iOS app. • Responsible for all technical decisions and architecture. • Audited and lead development of improvements to existing REST API to refine it and make it more compatible with the needs of native mobile apps. • Performed a full performance improvement pass on the app to vastly increase the user-perceived performance of the app and user interface.

Newsela is an education technology startup dedicated to transforming the way learners access the world through words. It's is an innovative way to build reading comprehension with nonfiction that's always relevant. It's easy and amazing - and it's used in 90% of the schools in the U.S. Two time Apple App of the Day recipient! • Promoted to oversee all of Newsela’s native mobile initiatives at the product level This included owning the mobile development roadmap, directing development to meet business requirements, and the management of all native mobile design, development, and promotion • App featured twice during this time by Apple as their App of the Day. To put this into perspective, having an app honored like this even once is a major achievement.

Two direct reports. • Responsible for planning all development on our mobile apps • Responsible for hiring, mentoring, and managing all mobile developers • Lead every facet of development on the Newsela iOS app as well as lead the cross-functional team through design, QA, and launch of the app • Coded the app from scratch in Swift 2.0 (now 4.0) • Worked with the backend developers to architect and develop APIs for the app the consume • Contributed directly to the API codebase in python • Founded the QA department at Newsela • Guided the UX/Design team through proper iOS interface design • Oversaw development of Newsela’s Android app • App featured by Apple as a "Best New App" and prominently featured in the AppStore in the Education category

• Lead Architect and Developer of the What to Expect | Pregnancy and Baby iOS app. Responsible for the from-the-ground up rebuild of this app. It has become the number one pregnancy app in the iOS AppStore under my stewardship. • Responsible for the architecture, development, and maintenance of Everyday Health’s large stable of iOS apps and our approach to iOS development as a whole • Worked closely with Product Management team to create, evolve, and improve our products • Worked with other mobile developers to develop mobile best practices, coding standards, and processes • Lead self-directed cross-functional team through full life cycle of projects • Had one direct report iOS developer • Acted as Apple Team Agent. Responsible for all submissions to App Store and subsequent production releases
