ISA Fellow 2020 2020- Present, Chair of ISA Technical Assembly (Standards & Practices, Automation & Technology Department, Industries & Sciences Department, Conference & Exhibitions Committee, Technology Search Committee) Executive Board Member 2015-2018 Past Vice President S&P Board Managing Director S&P Board 2016 - Present, Co-Chair Technology Search Committee - The Technology Search Committee is charged to identify and evaluate new technical areas of interest to ISA, and to make recommendations to the Technical Assembly as to whether or not the technology should be pursued with the resources of ISA. 2003 - Present, Co-Chair ISA 18 - Instrument Signals and Alarms, managing committee which created ISA18.2-2009 Management of Alarm Systems for the Process Industries the first standard on alarm management. In 2016, the recipient of the “Keith Otto Award” presented by the ISA Publications Department to recognize the author(s) of the best article in InTech magazine as determined by an ISA technical review committee. The July/August 2015 article titled, “Automation IT – Diagnosing your alarm system” was judged to be the best article published in InTech during the previous year. This award is presented in honor of Mr. Keith Otto, a member who served the Society for many years, particularly as the Chair of the InTech Editorial Advisory Board.
