I am responsible for strategy and business development at MathsGee. I help learning communities understand the benefits of MathsGee in engaging their members. Learning communities range from influencer/expert-led groups, schools, company teams and any like-minded people that have a sole purpose of learning from each other as a community.

As an African Union High-Level Panel on Emerging Technologies (APET) expert contributor/writer, my role in the team is to meaningfully research, analyze and present findings around emerging technologies and their potential benefit on the African continent. Through AUDA-NEPAD, we advise government on trends, scenarios and solutions. A study of the African situation shows that leaders, senior officials, policymakers and other stakeholders must be provided with evidence-based policy choices that will enable them to make informed decisions in harnessing emerging technologies for the socio-economic development of the continent. APET performs this function through the provision of advice and recommendations to Member States on the application and use of emerging technologies and proposes appropriate strategies and policies. APET identified ten emerging technologies as priority areas of relevance for Africa’s socio-economic development. These are: Gene drives; Microgrids; Drones for precision agriculture; Next-generation medicine; Artificial intelligence; Urban agriculture; Synthetic Biology (Gene Editing); 3D printing; Next-generation batteries; and Water purification.

I am in charge of adding value to the Esri South Africa Diploma in GISc programme. I am involved in the strategic and operational activities that include, training, content development, promotion and partnerships.

The Data Science Xcelerator is a 4-month blended learning program (with 2-day in-person intensives per month) for non-technical middle managers. The program seeks to equip participants with an understanding of the foundations of Data Science and how it can be applied in their respective organization/industry. The program has a strong emphasis on crafting the Data Science Strategy and its subsequent execution. As a facilitator, my role centers on delivering engaging and productive learning experiences for participants to enable them to attain learning objectives for the modules/courses within the program. I also support students on the ALX online learning platform by providing feedback and mentoring learners through projects that they undertake.

I led the MathsGenius Leadership Institute (MGLI) team as strategic advisers for the Intel "She will Connect" project by conceptualising market research, focus groups and optimal engagement with African women. We are proud to have been trusted by a big organisation like Intel to assist them in rolling out a worldwide programme that is changing women's lives across the world.

Overview of Role Lead Special Project initiatives (design, pilot and roll out) to improve business performance, processes, management systems, launch new products, etc, in close collaboration with the Executive team. Provide analytical support for Operations Management through analysing throughput, efficiency, and effectiveness (and trends thereof) to determine operations effectiveness, assist in priority setting of management focus areas, generate improvement proposals Outputs Special Projects Assist in the delivery / deliver Special Projects as prioritised and delegated to you by the Exco. Lead these projects through design, pilot and implementation, with Exco and Management support and input Day to day business Leveraging data and reporting to generate key insights into ongoing business performance Analysing existing AllLife reports – highlighting trends and issues. The design, structuring and generation of new reports to analyse areas / business variables not already tracked .Understanding key drivers behind performance. Working with Department Heads and the Exco to deep dive and better understand drivers behind performance improvements or performance gaps Considering AllLife skills, knowledge, behaviour and culture to ascertain a holistic picture of performance and inform change management where necessary Codifying these learnings to formalise institutional knowledge and roll out to other areas Continuous Improvement Leveraging the learnings from day to day business analysis and monitoring: Collaborate with Exco and Management in the proactive continuous improvement of AllLife systems and procedures. Problem solve with Managers to ensure continuous improvement of systems and procedures. Where assigned, lead improvement initiatives to drive change. Work together with the broader AllLife team for the betterment of our company, our company strategy and vision and, hence, our service to clients.

I was in charge of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) management for various blue chip clients. As a Senior Operations lead, I was oversaw the day to day running of multiple projects, made sure sufficient MIS reporting was in place for both internal and external clients. My greatest success was overseeing the smooth launch and running of EcoCash, which was the fastest growing USSD-based mobile money system in the world at the time.
