Hired to develop and implement a clear strategy and mechanism for building a robust pipeline of national and multi-national companies in the Philippines for Green Invest Asia (GIA) program. GIA is a sustainable finance initiative of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) implemented by Pact, Inc. The program helps companies meet corporate sustainability goals across the value chain, access a minimum capital of USD 2 million, and contribute towards the achievement of program goal to sequester 25 million metric tons of carbon. And, support financial institutions grow their portfolios and improve their environmental, social and governance (ESG) profile and contribute towards the achievement of program goal to increase the green capital to USD 400 million in 5 years. Specific responsibilities are: Build long-term relationship with potential partners in the agriculture and forestry sectors, investors and financial institutions, convenors and industry associations. This involved developing a national inventory and mapping of stakeholders. Scale up a knowledge management platform from the local perspective for current and new partners to continue to generate and share knowledge. Promote the sustainable land use-based interests of individual partners and networks for engagement, investment, dissemination of learning and inclusion of new national organizations and actors.
