In this role was involved working directly on the frontend in React.js and backend (Golang) tied to the home page, sale browse cars and the vehicle car description pages. Some projects were migrating all the pages from being client side to SSR (Server Side Rendering) improving performance and SEO (shift.com/cars). Also worked on implementing several A/B tests. Implemented integration with AWS CloudSearch for search the cars inventory. Also implemented Shift’s Car Finder (shift.com/find-my-car).
Role included the development of a custom Checkout for the e-commerce platform using React.js and Node/Express/GraphQL stack. It was used a micro-service architecture integrated with Shopify’s GraphQL API and Paypal Braintree. Implemented the set up all the AWS/Heroku services and the CircleCI automatic deployments. Worked also in creation of some backend services using Parse/Express and implementation of features in the Shopify site (frontend).
