Key areas of focus are as follows: Consulting for health IT initiatives in need of additional medical or behavioral expertise. Providing medical care and consulting services. Providing administrative medical services as Medical Director for Hospice companies. This work involves presiding over Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) conferences to certify patients for ongoing hospice services based on nursing reports and clinical status. Developing educational materials for internal and external use regarding optimal care for geriatric patients in need of palliative and hospice services. Developing processes and protocols for internal use in optimizing hospice services for patients via an interdisciplinary team model of care. Assisting in Brand Development and expansion of service area through outreach activities with physicians and health systems. Providing wellness consultations to individuals and organizations. Authoring textbooks and developing interactive workshops and public educational lectures on health, wellness and disease prevention.
