I have a new role and will add English to my Portfolio. Pearson is a world leader in the provision of English language learning and testing. We produced the first English language dictionary. Pearson's English team produce blockbuster, innovative, blended and digital language learning products which improve learner competency and enhance economic opportunity for young learners and adults. The Schools Portfolio remains with me.
Umalusi is the standards assurance body for schooling and vocational education for South Africa. They quality assure and accredit private schools and colleges and conduct quality assurance and assessment standardization for the high stakes national examinations.
I am leading, on a pro bono basis, work on transforming BRAC education in Bangladesh to a sustainable, low cost business model. Brac provides high quality education in Bangladesh to millions of students and families across pre K-13, and is the world's largest NGO.
