As the Associate Dean (Partnerships) at Cardiff Metropolitan University, I have over nine years of experience in seeking, developing, realising, and managing international and UK partnerships for the University. I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), which recognises my contribution to teaching and learning, research, and managerial experience in higher education. I am passionate about creating and enhancing internationalisation opportunities for students, staff, and organisations, by designing resource-efficient programmes, processes, and systems, championing cross-cultural collaboration and exchange, and delivering on-campus student recruitment and marketing strategies that generate results. I also have a wealth of experience as an external advisor and examiner for various UK and overseas institutions, validating and reviewing their programmes and ensuring quality standards. I have worked in Hamburg, Dubai, and three UK universities, and have been awarded the Mayor's Citizen of the Year for my positive impact on communities and society.

Championing the internationalisation strategy for the University and in particular Cardiff School of Art & Design. Current International Research Interests: • Design and digitalisation of calligraphic (such as Arabic, Kanji, etc.) characters and alphabets. • Use of calligraphy to represent and promote international cultural art & design. • Extracting historical meaning of alphabets and their role in modern society. • Digitising traditional museum environments, collections and artefacts for universal access. • The role of architectural design (Islamic, Egyptian, Chinese, etc.) through history. • Creating systems to support the design of modern architecture, with traditional meaning. • Developing tools to promote cultural friendly designs for online, paper, fabric, ceramic, etc., delivery. • Modelling heritage and creating realistic virtual walkthroughs of modern and historical buildings & sites. • Development of enhanced techniques for video/movie indexing. • Creating audio fingerprints of sound tracks. • Generating behavioural profile via social media usage. • Extracting behavioural patterns from CCTV. • Multimedia design, techniques and applications. • Visualisation and pattern extraction of data. • Architectural BIM and HBIM & design optimisation via 3D Modelling. • Utilisation of 3D games philosophy for educational designs.
