I worked on the Girls buying team between Jan - Sept2017. My main responsibilities included: • Approvals of lab dips, bulk fabric. • Sending and monitoring progress of development and production packs for suppliers. • Sample management. • Critical Path management. • Style management on PLM involving working closely with merchandising, garment tech and design teams. • Monitoring social media for customer feedback and undertaking competitor shops and customer watching. • Website, catalogue, image and copy proofing. • Working closely with the shoot and production teams to ensure product arrives and is shot in time. • Extra responsibilities included being part of the Supplier Queens team for sourcing new suppliers.
I worked on the Girls merchandising team for 1 year and 10 months. During my time on merchandising I was responsible for many tasks including: -Style set up for each new season. -Raising and sending POs, including wholesale. -Sales analysis including trade analysis, print analysis, pictorials. -Managing deliveries working closely with the UK and US warehouses and freight forwarders. -Managing instock on a weekly basis and finding ways to improve this. -Web and catalogue proofing. -Updating and managing cross sells, dominant colours, sort orders and tags. -Attending critical path meetings and keeping up to date with suppliers on production. -Working closely with other teams such as buying and garment tech to ensure all areas were up to date. -I was also responsible for training new MAAs as well as leading sessions on areas such as Stock Allocation, with the wider merchandising team.
Responsibilities include: - co-ordination, allocation and space management of products - ensure needs of the travel customer are met through products offered - analysing and responding to weekly product reports - maintaing stock levels and standards of the off-site stockrooms I worked closely with the Store Manager, Branch Merchandising team and Area Visual Merchandiser.
As the sole owner, I was in charge of all aspects of my business. I had my own pop-up store in Manchester City Centre for 1 month selling personally hand picked high quality vintage designer items, as well as selling Manchester based designers products on a commission basis. I was responsible for everything- from visual merchandising in my store, buying stock, styling my own photoshoots as well as selling to customers and maintaining my accounts.
