Establish system specifications by analyzing work flow, access, information, and security requirements; designing system infrastructure. Manage installation, configuration, and testing of cloud-based server hardware, software, and operating and system management systems. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. Monitor system performance by conducting system analysis and performance tuning, as well as designing and running system load/stress testing. Troubleshoot system hardware, software, and operating and system management systems; escalate issues to vendors (e.g., Amazon Web Services), as needed. Secure system by: developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; running back-ups; and maintaining documentation. Perform maintenance on cloud-based Qlikview environment, including single-server specific settings and server-to-server communication. Define system and operational policies and procedures, and document them. Oversee user security: create, change, and delete user accounts, per request. Perform light programming / scripting, such as writing programs to automate tasks. Upgrade systems by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements. Release management for code releases. Assist with and improve processes facilitating stable code releases. Adhere to and track change control processes. Stay abreast of latest advances in web hardware, software, security, and networks.
