Fritz Mostbock

Fritz Mostböck is Head of Group Research and a graduate of the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration as well as of the EFFAS CEFA® (Certified European Financial Analyst) and CESGA® (Certified ESG Analyst) diplomas. As Head of Group Research he is responsible for macroeconomic, fixed income and equity research in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania and Austria. In addition, his division is responsible for creating the global investment strategy, which essentially provides the input for Erste Group's asset allocation. Mr. Mostböck has many years of experience in dealing with global institutional investors, especially those with a focus on Central- and Eastern Europe. He is a member of the ÖVFA board (Austrian Association for Financial Analysis and Asset Management, www.oevfa.at) and has been elected president of the ÖVFA several times since 2003. Since 2006, Mr. Mostböck has been a member of the board of EFFAS (The European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies, www.effas.com), the umbrella organization of all European analyst associations with a total of around 17,000 members in Europe. In 2012, he was elected Vice Chairman of EFFAS. He is also co-chair of the EFFAS Commission on ESG (environmental, social and governance issues) and a member of the Austrian Working Group on Corporate Governance. He is author of numerous books and continuously publishes articles in financial publications and journals. His focus is on articles about capital markets in CEE as well as on corporate governance and economic and corporate sustainability. Fritz Mostböck served for several years in the Austrian Armed Forces, most recently in the rank of a Captain (Hauptmann).
