Gary Shaw's past jobs
I currently manage the digital accounts of 14 clients across platforms such as Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter and more. I also build and optimise ezines, blogs and websites for my clients. Sprint Digital is a PREM Group company.
I created and managed digital campaigns such as paid search, display advertising, remarketing, paid social, and other online advertising channels for a portfolio of clients both owned and/or managed by PREM Group. I worked closely with our sales teams, hotel managers, and revenue management teams, supporting PREM Group’s business and brand objectives to drive more revenue to their properties via their official website.
Assisting in the marketing of multiple hotels across Ireland and Europe, primarily online. PREM Group is an International Hotel Management Company operating over 45 properties across 5 countries. Established in Dublin in 1996, we specialise in operating hotels and serviced apartments across Ireland, England, Belgium, France and The Netherlands. Our portfolio combines a mix of owned, leased and managed assets across all hotel sectors from budget to 4 star, city centre to country resort.
I began my PGA training under Tullamore Golf Club's Head Professional Bernard Quigley (BQ Golf). A large number of topics are covered in the three year PGA training course, including retail, club fitting, merchandising, club building, coaching, sports science, psychology, business management and much more.
My role began in helping build content and design websites which MicksGargage.com were experimenting with at the time. A position soon opened as the leader of the PPC team, where I received training from the PPC expert and took charge of the PPC accounts alongside the new PPC manager. I was also responsible for dealing with customers on our social media channels. I attained multiple digital marketing certificates whilst working in MicksGarage.com from Google and completed an advanced Excel course with GoSkills.
Working alongside the hotel's sales and marketing director, I took over the hotel's Twitter account with the intention of building a stronger online base, attracting customers and businesses to the hotel, promoting the hotel to the general public and showing the world who we are, what we do and why we do it. You can follow our Twitter page here: www.twitter.com/mullingarpark
Like all barmen, I started out waiting the floor, learning the trade from the ground up; collecting glasses, taking customer's orders for both food and beverages, cleaning all areas of the hotel, providing 4* room service and more. I also made the sandwiches for the customers, learning the standard of presentation and cleanliness that is expected of a 4* hotel. From there, I worked my way into the bar, serving the customers beverages and managing the floor staff efficiently to ensure service ran smoothly. I am trusted to serve alone in the hotel's main bar and functions, count the cash totals, write up an end of day report and post them to the hotel accounts.
I began a six month internship with HELLA Ireland in July 2015 at their headquarters in Santry, Co.Dublin. Being my first professional position as a digital marketer, it set a solid base and gave me the valuable experience needed to further my career prospects.
I help out the golf club's PRO by promoting the new Facebook "Like" page, updating the posts on the page for the PRO whilst he is unavailable and more. With the club's sub-committee. I help design the golf club’s website on an ongoing basis alongside the golf club’s General Manager.
I began working alongside the NUIM golf manager on the Twitter page (@NUIMGOLF). As it progressed and grew, I was promoted to head PRO of the Paddy Harrington Golf Scholarship Programme. I was in charge of the Scholarship's Twitter, Facebook and by myself set-up a new Instagram and YouTube page for the Scholarship programme where we can share our photos/videos and experiences with the public!
