From scratch I have built out a global team (USA, EEurope, India) of over 50+ FTEs handling the research and development of AI capabilities. Starting with POC and MVPs we proved the capabilities were real and provided ROI and built out business cases that led to over $20M+ investment in building actual real AI through REST API micro-services on a global platform (Cloud and on-prem) that can handle millions of requests across multiple systems across IQVIA. This included direct oversight of hardware, server, networking and enterprise-wide and business unit-specific software applications, as well as data governance and information security. With over 200+ micro-services and growing we are deliberately agnostic to any system request whilst maintaining an ethical AI centered platform that delivers services from home built Convolutional Neural Net models using Tensorflow to end-to-end services such as document auto-translation through Kubernetes containers. As Platform owner I have also built a $10M+ ‘open-box’ global AI hybrid platform that supports the micro-services where this is a central platform feeding across multiple systems that require specific AI services as part of their differentiation into their product. As part of this I have supported as subject matter expert the c-suite discussions around Ethical AI that is a critical part of building a trustworthy set of micro-services in a heavily regulated environment.
