Kenya Airways Group is a diversified aviation platform comprising passenger airlines, cargo, maintenance and engineering services, aviation training, drone operations, aviation handling businesses, airport management support and strategic investments. As Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, I hold full accountability for profitability, growth, capital deployment, customer excellence and enterprise performance across the Group. My mandate is focused on enhancing shareholder value through profitable growth, disciplined financial management, revenue diversification and customer centric transformation. Whilst serving as a COO /E to plan and implement robust tactics I lead all airline operations. Through an effective promotion of the company's core culture and vision, ensuring all standard operating procedures are aligned with set strategic objectives I draft and enforce appropriate policies. To initiate data-driven decisions I prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for the Chairman. Through proper leadership of operations and maintenance activities as per AOC requirements, I provide strategic support to personnel in overseeing daily functions. To drive the seamless execution of daily functions I plan and implement viable business strategies and plans related to commercial, revenue, and passenger support services. I develop and manage budgets to meet desired objectives to eliminate unnecessary costs and expenditures. To explore lucrative business opportunities, I build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers, vendors, OEMs, and external agencies. Some of my selected accomplishments are... • Devised and deployed an advanced management system across an organisation for maintaining effective oversight of safety and compliance. • Identified and delivered individualised training and mentorship to operational and non-operational departments and related personnel at all management levels for upskilling staff performance and efficiency. • Enable and streamline multifaceted resources, aircraft maintenance plans, and CAMO for the smooth running of daily activities.

Through close interaction with multi-disciplinary teams, I directed entire operations from infancy to successful progression, whilst reporting directly CEO. To explore lucrative opportunities and share industry best practices and trends with related personnel I conducted and chaired research across challenging markets. Through proper management of organisational routine operations, I led and evaluated employees' performance and associated activities, including staff and flight crew selection, upgrading, promotions, demotions, and related measures. Additionally, I steered Safety Review Board and initiated corrective and preventive actions developed by Safety recommendations. A few of my selected accomplishments are... • Assured realisation of safety targets and Performance Indicators by taking appropriate actions as per requirement. • Achieved all assigned operational targets without compromising on organisational risks and safety policies. • Contributed to guiding CEO in executing affairs related to Operations; represented Air Arabia Egypt's interest at national and global conventions, conferences, events, and meetings.

For the seamless execution of routine business operations, I directed and proposed guidance to teams in delivering a safer workplace in line with the OSH perspective. Whilst serving as a key part of the OSHMS team I led health assurance, occupational safety, and risk management programs. To drive safe operations and reduce harm risk, property damage, and injury to personnel as per the OSHMS manual I steered project teams and assured the involvement of all stakeholders in change management. Through the establishment of an advanced OSH culture improvement by administering integrated management systems I oversaw the delivery of safety and compliance processes, procedures, and campaigns. During this tenure, I discussed feedback with customers and executive management teams related to OSHMS performance, issues, trends, risks, and non-conformities. A few of my selected achievements are... • Provided leadership support to staff in planning and implementation of strategic plans and employing OSHMS for the company. • Formed and sustained an integrated OSHMS aligned with British Standard OHSAS 18001, Abu Dhabi Department of Transport (DoT), and UAE Fire Code as well as followed GCAA requirements and ISO 9001 Standards.

For the smooth running of daily business activities, I delivered viable aid to VP-CSQ in managing all aspects associated with civil aviation authorities, such as GCAA for Quality Management System and compliance monitoring issues across functional areas and subcontractor's organisations. Through close interaction with the Quality Manager, I oversaw and organised follow-up on executed IFQP, DAQCP, and IATA Quality Pool audits, reports, corrective actions, and mitigation functions. Through proper initiation of corrective actions discovered during audit findings, I examined the effectiveness of independent QMS for including the QA programme. For the realisation of financial objectives, I communicated with relevant Heads for the development of a departmental budget. A few of my key accomplishments are... • Designed appropriate maintenance, performance, and organisational management systems for continuous improvement. • Drove, promoted, and maintained safe operational practices in compliance with company and civil aviation regulations.

In this role, I managed all daily operational and regulatory matters. Through strategic planning and execution, I steered operations and organisational Equity Partners, including Air Berlin, Air Seychelles, Jet Airways, Air Serbia, Alitalia/Etihad Regional, and Virgin Australia. By staying abstract of organisational best practices, I actively partook in industry conferences and events. Here, I directed FRMSAG and Operating Manuals Working Group meetings and maintained minutes on behalf of SVPFO. By representing the company at major regulatory meetings with potential stakeholders I collaborated with Civil Aviation Authorities on daily basis. A few of my key achievements are... • Reduced operational risks through implementation and management of regulatory compliance and guidelines. • Recognized all GCAA NPAs and developed an appropriate Comment Response Document (CRD) on time. • Played a key role in overseeing the implementation of new EASA Air operational regulations across functional areas. • Deployed Fatigue Risk Management System.
