OVERVIEW: Transitioned to Senior Manager position following Salesforce’s acquisition of Demandware. Tasked with the retirement of legacy data center and adoption of public cloud for hosting Salesforce Business Technology workloads. Plan and manage annual 6-figure budgets. Act as the Service Owner for enterprise IT systems (500+ physical servers, 3,000 virtual machines, 2PB of NetApp & EMC storage). HIGHLIGHTS: ☑ Played key role in leveraging AWS public cloud for hosting Salesforce Business Technology workloads while adopting and utilizing Agile/Scrum Methodologies and Infrastructure as Code. HIGHLIGHTS: ☑ Led implementation of a Global Collaboration solution that reduced the company’s risk exposure, consolidated a previously fragmented toolset, and improved end-user productivity. ☑ Improved lead times for new user provisioning from 2+ weeks to 1-2 days through spearheading the implementation of an end-user provisioning process. ☑ Facilitated the successful integration of Demandware IT into Salesforce IT, including the successful migration of technology resources and team members.

OVERVIEW: Hired to address challenges regarding the scalability of the global infrastructure per the company’s expansion plans. Led team of 8 FTEs, reported to the CIO and managed multimillion-dollar annual budget. In charge of the strategic roadmap for the infrastructure and public cloud for hosting the SaaS revenue-generating application. HIGHLIGHTS: ☑ Led implementation of MariaDB Galera Clusters to allow for an active database architecture, resulting in improved high availability, reduction in data loss, and increased scalability. ☑ Instituted AWS public cloud solution for hosting customer-faced SaaS solutions for North America clients. ☑ Improved application response time and the customer experience by introducing a Redis caching solution.

OVERVIEW: As Director of IT Global Infrastructure, directed a highly technical team within a large-scale global organization, reporting to the CIO. Held full accountability for the global strategy related to all infrastructure, data center, and telephony functions. As Manager of Infrastructure, directed team of Systems/Network Administrators and managed a multimillion-dollar annual budget. Oversaw all data/voice communications networks, including links to U.S./global locations. HIGHLIGHTS: ☑ Consolidated the global data center footprint while increasing overall uptime and availability of both the infrastructure and its applications. ☑ Maintained 99.99% uptime to meet SLA requirements by designing and leading the implementation of external customer-facing / revenue-generating SaaS applications. ☑ Drove the implementation of a virtual desktop solution for the contact center that reduced TCO, improved overall information security posture, and enabled increased mobility as well as business continuity. ☑ Led the migration from the HP c-Series blade servers to Cisco UCS platform, leading to improvements in IT infrastructure efficiency and agility while concurrently decreasing costs. ☑ Virtualized over 90% of the server infrastructure to VMware vSphere hypervisor platform. ☑ Directed a series of migration projects that increased application uptime and availability. ** Prior position as Technology Architect with Bright Horizons Family Solutions (2003-2007). HIGHLIGHTS: ☑ Enabled business continuity for ImmunoGen in the event of a disaster by planning and implementing an IT disaster recovery solution that leveraged NetApp technology. ☑ Expanded the availability of key collaboration applications through the implementation of a multi-site, high-availability solution. ☑ Led the migration from a single Exchange 2003 server to a multi-site Exchange 2007 server.
