I am the Clinical Lead in the Perinatal Mental Health Service based at the National Centre for Mental Health, Birmingham. I specialise in all areas of Perinatal Mental Health as the lead consultant on the inpatient mother and baby unit. I also see patients in the community for pre-conception advice, during pregnancy and in the first post-partum year. I am a member of the Clinical Reference Group for the development of Perinatal Mental Health Services advising NHS England I am an elected member of the Section of Perinatal Psychiatry for the Royal College of Psychiatrists I am the Named Doctor for Safeguarding Children and Young People within BSMHFT. I Chair the Birmingham Course which provides a rigourous training programme for junior psychiatry trainees across the region.
I continued my post graduate training in psychiatry. I spent time in Perinatal Psychiatry, Rehabilitation Psychiatry and General Psychiatry
