1992 - Started in Parts dept of H Leverton Ltd (Spalding) as head co-ordinator responsible for all Caterpillar parts returns to main stores in Grimbergen from all UK sites. Later moving to stock controller as senior inventory controller in the CIC department. Spent time in the main service workshop understanding the processes & procedures. Was then heavily involved in the stores centralisation at Leeds & spent 2 years working / setting up the new central stores. Moved back to Spalding when the materials handling division was formed as a separate buisness. 1997/8 - had a burning desire to move into sales & kept on to Sales Director about giving me a chance as I knew I could do this role. I moved in the sales technical office preparing all new & used truck proposals, capacity calculations along with technical requests on to Caterpillar / MCFE. Finally in late 1998 given a chance to take on the Peterborough & Norwich area as sales executive. Got the achievers award programme in my first year & then succesfully secured 4 further achievers programmes during my time in sales. My best year & company record was of 168 machines that had never been done on any area in the UK! Moved up to senior sales executive providing support to 4 local area sales execs, then on to National Account Manager & Key Account Manager. Dealing with customers such as Perkins Engines Co Ltd, Cat Logistics, Ibstock Brick, Alcan Industries, G's Marketing Ltd, Bakkavor, H J Heinz, Marstons Brewary etc. Highly motivated account manager & I truly consider myself as a problem solver. Set my own goals & ambitions. One of my motto's is no one is going to give you anything, so you have to go out & get it!
