As the Maintenance and Support Chief I was responsible for the maintenance of the emergency responders communications system upon Camp Pendleton. Responsibilities included supervising up to 12 technicians in the repair and support of communications systems for first responder vehicles and stations. Additionally we supported mass communications systems for individual camps upon Camp Pendleton.
Coordinated all communications requirements for 1st Medical Battalion. Ensured all maintenance was performed on communications equipment. Coordinated the Maintenance Management programs for the communications shop. Trained Marines and Sailors as Information System Coordinators (ISC) to support more than 400 users on the NMCI network
Provided Instruction to entry level Marines on the use of Test Measure and Diagnostic Equipment in the repair of fiber optic cable, repair of personal computers, telephony, and the repair and operation of switchboards.
As Communications Electronics Maintenance Chief I was responsible for the repair and maintenance of all communications and electronics gear. I supervised a team of up to 25 technicians in the maintenance of all communications gear. Additionally I was responsible for all maintenance management of the communications shop. I ensured that we maintained organizational standards in regards to modifications control, tool control, publications control and calibrations.
As test engineer of the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle Communications (EFV(C)) variant ensured that all testing was completed in accordance to program office standards. I was responsible for daily testing and reporting of vehicle progress as well as conducted thousands and communications and command test cases to ensure proper C4I suite operations.
