Understand Iceland is a travel agency licenced through the Icelandic Board. ​ Understand Iceland specializes in study abroad tours for universities from the United States who seek different experiences and wish to explore Iceland as well as relating it to their curriculum and studies. ​ We organize field trips around Iceland, with a primary focus on interpreting the extreme nature of Iceland. We create tours to explore the most amazing scenery in Iceland with it´s stunning volcanoes, lavafields, black beaches and glaciers. We create connections to academic departments and research institutes in Iceland allowing students to interact with local experts in different disciplines and explore Iceland through visits, lectures and exercises in the field.
