Dr. Jiang was responsible for the business planning and product definition of Roundbox’s carrier-grade mobile broadcasting software products. She was also responsible for the company’s patent strategy and patent filings. She and her co-founders raised $21 million of venture capital funding. She worked with operators in the US, China and Korea to bring mobile TV and mobile radio services to mobile phones. She worked extensively with the Chinese mobile operators and partnered with ecosystem vendors including MediaTek, Qualcomm, Huawei, ZTE, Lenovo, and Alcatel Lucent. Roundbox was acquired by Quickplay in 2015, which was acquired by AT&T in 2016.
Dr. Jiang led the development of Tatara’s business strategy of service convergence. Tatara is focused on providing software solutions that allow for mobile operators to provide converged services regardless of the underlying networks (e.g., fixed, mobile, WiFi, WiMax or femto cells). She assembled an experienced management team, and provided the technology vision and business strategy that enabled the company to minimize the early market risks and maximize the customer base.
Dr. Jiang was a founding member at Flarion Technologies, which developed FLASH-OFDM technologies. FLASH-OFDM was fundamental to the development of LTE standards. She was responsible for the network architecture of Flarion's wireless system. Flarion was acquired by Qualcomm.
