Reporting to the UK Board I have led the international and UK rental business development strategies within Bailey to serve a growing and diverse range of caravan and motorhome customers. Expanded the international foot print of the strong Bailey brand through a new professional network of importers and distributors (NZ, South Korea and Turkey). Established a network of independent direct motorhome rental partners in UK (from small start up to large national rental fleet companies). Established an annual order book of over 700 units. Responsible for £48M+ diverse annual revenue generation - working in close partnership with regional General Managers and Ishida Board. As global market leader in multihead weighers, role demands constant evaluation of diverse market needs, detailed competitor offerings and enhancements in available technologies. Achieved over £2 million incremental sales in first seven months via new international sales and marketing channels (15 new country sales partners established). Restructured and radically improved marketing platform including: - • web site design and content • sales aids and tools • adapted marketing for new countries • new product launch plan • competitor argumentation tools • enhanced customer service tools Created benchmark dealer profile and prioritised target potential partners for growth via strategic country cluster approach. Travelled extensively to export markets (e.g. Russia, China, Middle East, France, Spain, Poland, Austria, and Switzerland). Promoted to Managing Director in final two months of assignment. Latterly focused on reorganisation of business structure and future business strategy to navigate the unprecedented downturn within the UK domestic market.
Managed two largest key account UK customers (ESSO Petroleum and TOTAL Oil) after long period of under performing service operation. Both accounts (combined) represented 40% of UK company turnover. Restructured account support team to optimise customer service responses (delivered within first 4 months with management team). Responsible for establishment of international framework agreements between Linde MH and major international customers. Successfully set up fifteen new customer agreements – achieving “preferred supplier” status internationally with each account. Developed a broad understanding of the Linde MH products and international services, as well as a close relationship with the Linde international network, Head Quarters and Legal departments. This role required a focus on excellent customer service delivery as the keystone to the end customer proposition.
Extensive international travel to promote sales of products manufactured in Linde, Basingstoke. Role included: Salesperson Product Training, Strategic Pricing, Commercial and Technical Support, Service Department profiling, Market Reviews, International Customer Visits, and Hosting International visitors to Linde Basingstoke. Main focus - measure and improve salesmen “awareness” and improve “complete package” sales to increase spare parts and service contract sales with units in this developing economy. 40% regional parts sales growth was achieved through developing a parts potential database per branch and through the establishment of a growth incentive campaign. Successfully managed territory-wide price increases, performed dealer service profiling, retail analysis and designed and delivered tailored technical training to the service departments and fleet customers. With data collated, I successfully implemented growth and recovery plans in key territories.
Dedicated focus on improving end customer service and to generate increased spare parts and unit wholesale sales. Established improved information systems and spare parts stocking profiles for dealer network to improve speed of customer service.
Support role to regional sales managers – provided an excellent insight into international sales process.
