Since the registration of KAMY in 2020, I have secured and managed multiple grants for KAMY operations & programmes from 2020 to 2022. My key responsibilities: 1. Co-design direction for women empowerment in overall operation, mainstreaming gender-responsive climate interventions, capacity building, and disaster response. 2. Train young people in climate leadership, communication, governance and policymaking, feminist and human rights principles, and grassroots organising. This includes training in risk assessments, meaningful partnership, inclusion, peacebuilding, project design, and design/managing grants & finance. 3. Management for research and reporting. 4. Co-facilitate engagement sessions with frontline communities & CSOs/NGOs/CBOs (including non-Climate); Co-facilitate coalition building at the national/regional/international level. 5. Co-Lead consultation sessions with the environment & climate-related Ministries and Parliamentarians. Milestone : -Mobilised a KAMY team to Glasgow with observer badges to Blue Zone in COP26 in 2021. -Successfully oversaw multiple paid internships in KAMY programmes from 2020 to 2022. - Committee on 4 national climate strikes in Malaysia in 2019 - Co-Designed climate workshops locally, regionally and internationally since 2019 to include targeted visual/bilingual climate justice modules (Malay, Eng) for Indigenous communities and art schools. Under my leadership, KAMY is the founding member & committee of; (1) #MisiBantuOA & #KebunMandiriOA for COVID19 disaster response (2) Gabungan Pertahankan Hutan Simpan Kuala Langat Utara (PHSKLU) (3) Gabungan Darurat Iklim Malaysia (GDIMY) (4) Youth-led Southeast Asian network of grassroots climate groups known as SEACA (Southeast Asia Climate Alliance)
