Responsible for managing a team of people who calculates fund performance, performance fees, produce performance reports, produce performance attributions (equities, fixed income and multi asset funds), other relevant fund performance or risk metrics and GIPS compliance. I am also responsible for reporting fund exposures on a monthly basis to the CIO. During my time in this position I was involved in implementing Statpro, implementing fixed income attributions and reporting, as well as automating various report. I also streamlined the processes within the performance team, implemented checks and controls while improving efficiency. I also established a relationship with the front office, in particular the fixed income team. I was involved in the implementation of the BARRA risk system and during this implementation discovered a number of areas within the system that required improvement or correction, which the vendor has subsequently implemented. I am part of the GIPS working Committee for South Africa and has provided input to the draft of the GIPS 2020 standards. Other duties included engaging with vendors as well as various areas within the business.
