•I am currently managing Procurement department of Unikai Foods handling all the activities of “Procure to Pay” cycle with all local &foreign suppliers from various countries like New Zealand, Australia, USA, Canada, India, Pakistan, China, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea & few other countries from Europe. •As Procurement Manager, I am directly involved in procuring various commodities like sugar, rice, milk powder, palm and coconut oils, butter, other ingredients like juices, concentrates, stabilizers, flavors, colors and plastic and paper-based packaging material like buckets, tubs, cups & corrugated cartons. •Responsible for procuring all the goods and services including ingredients & packing material required for production. •Direct involvement in procurement of dry, frozen and chilled private label items like coconut water, French fries, cheese, cupcakes & margarine. •Plan, develop, implement & evaluate processes for material delivery from point of origin to point of delivery. •Negotiate with all major and foreign suppliers on prices, delivery & payment terms, lead time, etc ensuring product availability at best rates, •Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan and facilitate on-time material to the production line as and when required avoiding disruption of production. •Identification and development of new and alternate suppliers for all the products including key ingredients & packing material to ensure availability of material for production & sales. •Forecast price & market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power. •Discussion & preparation of annual budget of Procurement Department based on trends, historical data, market and supplier inputs and submitting it to Supply Chain Head and Finance Department for their review and approval.
• Responsible for negotiating and purchasing of foreign and local Raw Material including milk powder, juices, pulps/concentrates, stabilizers, flavors and colors, etc. • Monitor the purchasing of packaging material, commodities and all other miscellaneous items including spare parts in close coordination with Supply Chain Manager and Head of Supply Chain as well. • Discussion and preparation of annual budget of Purchase Department based on trends and historical data and submitting it to Supply Chain Head and Finance Department for their review and approval. • Plan, develop, implement and evaluate processes for material delivery from supplier to point of production. • Ensure material procured is duly tested and evaluated by QC, released timely and issued to production. • Negotiate with suppliers in terms of prices before placing the orders ensuring material is purchased as per the budget price. • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan and facilitate on-time material to the production line as and when required avoiding disruption of production. • Development of new/alternate suppliers for key ingredients like milk powder to ensure supply is not affected in case of non-availability due to any reason. • Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power. • Review the Warehouse stock position of raw material, packaging material and trading items with Purchase Team on a weekly basis and monitor the stock movement to avoid out of stock or over stock. • Conduct a daily meeting with the Supply Chain Head, QC and Operations Team to ensure smooth production and product availability as per Sales requirement. • Use all performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team. • Oversee all import clearance activities related to foreign shipments of RM, PM and FG. • Lead and Supervise Supplier Satisfaction and Supplier Evaluation Surveys on annual basis.
• Was a part of RAKBank’ s Bancassurance Sales Team sourcing investment products, including Unit Linked Plans, to different categories of RAKBank customers. • Contacting potential clients of RAKBank, explaining the investment products including Funds Performance, areas and sectors of investment and their returns in detail and fixing up appointments for further discussion. • Conducting full research on performance of Mutual Funds available in the plan and educating the customers about the same and assisting them with the same. • Meeting the clients and getting the paperwork completed once the customer signs up for the plans and submitting the same to the Service and Quality Team for further processing. • Ensuring the monthly targets assigned by the management are met and maintaining the consistency. • Completing the documentation process and submitting the same to Salama ensuring smooth processing of the application.
• Prepare by-weekly Production Plans after thoroughly working on stock position of all products. • Assist the Planning Manager and Production department to actively manage the day-to-day production schedule of more than 10 SKU’s. • Research and assign manufacturing times and due dates as needed and documenting the same during the releasing process. • Assist in issuing and tracking production orders, ensuring that required material is supplied to the production floor by Warehouse, according to the production schedule. • Interface with manufacturing personnel, purchasing personnel, etc. on material status and production planning issues. • Daily production floor walk through, fielding incoming calls from priority customers on order status.
