Injonge Karangwa

As global health professional and a musician, I wanted to work on a project leveraging on the social and economic impact of arts to have an impact on Global Health. It is in this line that I proposed the idea of Hamwe festival to the University of Global Health Equity, event with the dual mission to celebrate the contributions of creative communities to the global health equity agenda and enable artists, scholars, and global health professionals to collaborate to improve health around the world. As the chief organizer of the first edition of Hamwe Festival, my role is to fundraise, design the events, build the line up, create and manage partnerships as well as oversee all the operations.
