HKG worked with the small Hamlet of Deline, NT to develop a tourism strategy to build a new, clean economy for this remote community. HKG worked with Deline to develop a tourism strategy and apply for Government funding to develop the product and upgrade existing facilities. HKG played a significant role in gaining the support of the Elders, taking the natural tourism product (the people, traditional culture and pristine location) and building an all inclusive tourism package, and marketing strategy before taking it to market on their behalf. With very specific target markets in mind, HKG used our vast network to introduce the new product to people around the world. Destination Deline's dream became a reality when they welcomed their first Road Scholar group in August and hosted Wild TV to film an episode of Brendan Morrison's Sportfishing Adventures.

This hard hitting session is thought provoking and should garner support for Canada’s trade strategy. “Are You In or Are You Out?” – Selling through Travel Wholesalers * This comprehensive training session is intended to educate tourism stakeholders on the benefits of working with wholesale travel partners, clearly define the expectations of the Tour and Receptive Operators, identify Canada’s export ready product and provide helpful hints on how to break in to the market. *This session is a continuation of “Wholesaling – Don’t You Dare Say Discount” “Are You All that You Can Be?” - Product Development & Diversification This session was created to encourage tourism stakeholders to “think outside of the box” and explore simple and unique opportunities to expand and grow their businesses. “It’s OK to Use Your Friends” – Building Tourism Packages This session identifies the promotional and cost saving benefits of creating strategic partnerships and collectively packaging tourism product. Using current trend reports and tourism statistics, the group will create sample packages and develop a plan to take it to market. “Experience the Difference” – Building Experiential Tourism Product This session is intended to inspire communities and business to take advantage of the growing “experiential travel” trend. Given the tools to create an inventory of experiential opportunities, attendees will be equipped to begin building unique packages.
