I led the creation and deployment of strategies, policies and procedures for optimized levels of global inventory. This is synonymous with orchestrating the development of standardized processes, reporting, tools, and systems for supply chain planning activities. For our international operations, I facilitated and executed global leadership, vision and motivation for all Retail Operations Development functions. This analytics management role required me to leverage fact-based analytics and insights for retail initiatives and licensed operators in 60+ countries with $250M annual revenue. I mentored and managed a team of Retail Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, Marketing Associates, Category Management Associates and Master Data Leads against aggressive requirements. Along with my key achievements listed below, I was selected for the Ace High Potential Program – which grooms participants for growth, development and promotion. • Administered planning and creation of retail technology systems used by shareholders with 700+ international locations. • Project managed 15 cross-functional partners in blueprinting, prioritizing, testing and deployment of all Ace International’s retail system-based projects. • Guided 35-person team in development of end-to-end International Store Operations Manual. • Winner of Ace International’s first ever annual President’s Award.
In this consultancy role, I developed best practices to facilitate the seamless implementation of strategic retail programs, including store operations, category management / product placement strategies, labor force optimization and customer service. I worked closely with leaders across IT, Finance, Field Sales and Retail Training, successfully educating 300+ members of field staff, support teams and 2,000 retailers on standard procedures. • Instrumental in development of company’s retail inventory management program with 1,700+ stores reporting accurate inventory and placing computer-generated orders. • Played key role in successful implementation of minimum stocking quantities of core products in majority of Ace stores via leadership over large-scale quantity company project.
Within my first six years at Ace, I ascended to a leadership position over our inventory control, expertly maintaining 98.0%+ service levels on $75M+ of plumbing and outdoor living inventory while turning the product at least 7 times per year. I recruited, hired, trained, mentored and supervised a team of eight Inventory analysts, ensuring alignment with operational goals and performance metrics. • Launched and led major merchandising initiatives including E-Auction design, cube capacity analyses, web conference training and evaluation of new inventory software applications. • Key partner to Category Management team and buying offices in conducting comprehensive, end-to-end analysis of unproductive inventory. • Other roles included Senior Inventory Analyst (1999 – 2000) and Inventory Analyst (1998 – 1999).
