In 2016 I finished Ph.D. in MITPortugal Program division called Leadership in Industrial Technologies. This program also has a second name which is Engineering Design Advanced Manufacturing. My thesis is in the part standardization and commonality area that's why I was able to work with a specialist in System Architecture Lab at MIT for the past year. We were working on a tool which allows searching product databases in order to nominate parts for commonality. With usage of this tool it is possible to ease product development, product management, as well as product portfolio management and platform development.
Collaborated under Nondisclosure Agreement • Implemented a novel commonality strategy to cut cost and improve production process • Managed and improved part database from a product differentiation and cost savings perspective • Lead multidisciplinary team working on part reduction which allowed decreasing production costs
Conducting commonality studies and duplicate search with specialists from System Archtecture Lab http://systemarchitect.mit.edu/students.php#kwapisz • Supervised work of a computer science graduate student • Developed Commonality Opportunity Search Algorithm which nominate parts for commonality study • Transformed ideas into business plans and performed market research to evaluate market opportunities for two Startups in MIT Ventureship Club • Flown airplanes and helicopter as part of MIT Flight Club • Took Entrepreneurship course as MIT Slone School of management
