I was with Darden Restaurants, the world's largest casual dining company and a Fortune 100 Company, for over 17 years. I was a multi-unit General Manager in the field before earning a promotion to the Darden Restaurant Support Center in 2001. I worked as a Human Resources Trainer and helped design and launch Darden Restaurants University (DRU). Later, I earned a promotion to Manager of Training for Red Lobster. I enjoyed four years in the Red Lobster people development/training department before resigning from the company in 2007. I left Darden to fulfill a lifelong dream of living in another country -- Costa Rica. While in Costa Rica, my husband and I toured the country, hiked, participated in local charities, practiced our Spanish, and went on a short term mission trip to Egypt.
