Focus Engaged for 4-month contract as Independent Consultant with Eurazeo's New York office for their private equity firm. The contract was to provide evaluation of Dominion Web Solutions (DWS), a Norfolk Virginia based online marketplace for Recreational and Commercial vehicles. DWS was being spun out of Dominion Enterprises as a standalone company, with 25 private equity firms involved in the process. Results Eurazeo was successful in acquiring DWS and the transaction closed in June 2017.
Focus: Operations, customer service and national sales – accountable for 900+ employees and budgets greater than $100M. Focused on improving customer experience and driving operational efficiencies while supporting transition of the business from print to digital. Results: Delivered operational savings of $15M+ annually by restructuring and consolidation of back-office support. Improved service levels by 30% through development and implementation of new customer service strategy. Created organization-wide savings through sponsorship of legacy systems replacement (CRM & BPM), with the dual benefit of simplifying processes. In-sourced strategic digital media skill sets (websites, SEM, SEO and social) to support future digital growth. Eliminated inefficient manufacturing practices to drive savings of $4.5M, reduced cycle times, improved quality and better environmental practices, achieved through midterm renegotiation of key supplier contracts. Rationalized Trader’s circulation retail network by 25% resulting in improved distribution and print cost savings. Played critical role in divestiture of Trader Corporation to private equity firm Apax Partners.
