Janet Pickles's current jobs
A group formed 8+ years ago to raise funds for providing Christmas Lights in the adjoining villages of Steeton & Eastburn. In addition, we foster a sense of community in this rapidly growing community.
In February 1994 I opened a small business with the intention of offering high quality sedation equipment, maintenance and associated sundries This was possible due to the expertise of my Husband, Chris, who already had 30 years experience in this particular field. Since then, we have been joined by our four sons and have gathered an excellent team of clerical and engineering staff to enhance the services we are able to offer. Our customer base now covers the UK, Ireland and many offshore islands. In addition, we act as a service centre for many countries in Europe and beyond. Prior to all this, my original training was as an S.R.N. working as first Staff Nurse and then a Sister in Acute Surgical wards. This has given me an excellent insight into the medical environment and also taught the virtue of hard work and attention to detail. In May 2017, following almost 24 months of work R A Medical Services and our USA Agents Sedation Systems gained a 510K for manufacture and export of our in-house developed product - the Miniscav. This popular unit, already well established in the UK marketplace, has been completely revised for the American market and is being introduced for use in medical application such as obstetrics, urology, wounds dressings, orthopaedics and other applications where painful but potentially short procedures are involved. The UK market continues to demonstrate steady but significant growth, not only in the dental sector but in other medical disciplines such as Maxillo-Facial and Emergency Departments.
