Performed the role of a scientific laboratory supply distributor for a territory that encompassed UNC-Chapel Hill research, UNC Hospitals, Duke Clinical, Wake Forest University and Wake Forest Baptist medical research. Maintaining a database with thousands of data sets, injecting mice with DOI, keeping records of the mice, assisting in western blots, preparing and assisting in sacrifices, collecting samples from multiple brain regions, assisting with microdialysis, and keeping track of thousands of samples frozen for future tests as well as ordering for the lab.
Served as Peace Corps volunteer in a small village in the Republic of Armenia. Worked with local schools and youth organizations on educating local youth about environmental issues and organizing local trash cleanups. Worked with local government to develop an environmental policy for the town.
