What started as a side project became the world's top leading hardware DJ brand. We entered hardware in 2015 with Mixfader, the world's first wireless Bluetooth crossfader, revealed at SXSW, funded on Kickstarter in under 48 hours and showcased at CES. We then spent two years reinventing DVS with Phase: a wireless controller that replaces timecode vinyl thanks to a proprietary radio protocol. Unveiled at NAMM 2018 with demos by DJ Qbert and Mike Relm, officially launched in April 2019. I co-founded DJiT as an engineering student with one conviction: DJing should not be reserved for people who could afford 1,000 euros of equipment. In 2012 we launched edjing, the first free DJ app on iOS and Android. It became a worldwide hit: 10 million downloads and a first $ 2.5 million round in 2013, led by Entrepreneurs like Daniel Marhely (co-founder, Deezer), Krishna Visvanathan (Draper Esprit), and Konstantinos Papamiltiadis (VP, Facebook). joining the board. By 2016 we had passed 60 million downloads, with Google Play naming edjing Best App four years in a row (2013 to 2016), Google dedicating an official Android Developer Story to our audio latency work, and The Guardian ranking edjing among the best DJ apps in the world.
