If you have ever worked in a nonprofit you know that a good CEO does a little of everything, from giving pep talks to making a cup of coffee good enough to inspire staff who wonder how we will ever be able to assist everyone who needs our help. But if you want specifics on what I do day in and day out, here is a pretty inclusive list: Works to ensure the general public, the business community and others in the nonprofit community understand what we do and how they can help us do it better. Sets and works toward the accomplishment of ambitious goals and objectives that slowly but surely help us achieve our mission of ending court-ordered child abuse. Hires and oversees a group of talented, motivated staff, interns and volunteers who are given the tools they need to make a difference. Serves as a resource for the Board of Directors, a group of highly capable professionals who keep our organization focused on its mission. Acts as a visible link to our organization and all that it stands for, serving as an ambassador for the good work that The Little Voice Project does every day. Recruits donors from the corporate and foundation communities and then continues to steward said donors, filling in every gap in every conversation with the words “thank you.” Networks with individuals- like you- who want to become involved in our organization, matching their skills and interests to exciting opportunities.
