Every year, thousands of family members are separated by armed conflicts, natural disasters and migration all around the world. The Red Cross helps people to search for missing relatives and to restore contact. We do this work in partnership with the ICRC and all national Red Cross and Red Crescent societies around the world. My tasks as a Case Manager include: - Assessing and processing tracing requests, in combination with supporting our RFL-volunteer teams throughout the country - Delivering Red Cross Messages (family news) to enquirers from their relatives (in detention or areas without postal service), as well as collecting replies - Communicating and consulting with the RFL departments of the ICRC and National Red Cross/Red Cresent Societies world-wide - Entering new case information and case updates into case management database accurately and thoroughly - Providing training for our (new) RFL-volunteers - Analyzing current work processes and finding ways to improve them
