Collaborated with sales reps, sales managers, distributors, product managers, engineers, production personnel, manufacturers and management to arrive at solutions for a variety of customers that required both current and next generation solutions for the following: Wireless OEM - Custom design solutions requiring antenna and battery technologies utilizing frequency ranges from 4MHz – 6 GHz applications ranging from animal tracking, remote monitoring, aerial reconnaissance, asset tracking, medical monitoring to military applications WIMAX/LTE - Long Term Evolution and World Wide Interoperability for Microwave Access - Setting up multiple applications while working with major OEM’s, system integrators and end users for frequencies ranging from 400MHz to 6 GHz Power products - Assisted in the development of battery applications for portable radios, fixed radio and portable wireless devices that utilize Alkaline, NiCd, NiMh, LiIon, Lithium, Sealed Lead Acid cell technologies. Telematics – The integrated use of telecommunication systems providing information for mobile devices of vehicles while using GPS systems for tracking purposes. Satellite and land based systems are utilized or incorporated into Telematic systems. M2M - Machine to Machine utilizes Zigbee protocols and other Radio Frequency systems to provide data between remote machines utilizing frequency ranges from 4MHz to 6GHz. Phemtocells - Small repeater systems designed to be used in the home or office that allow cell phone signals to be repeated through a broad band network or another wireless system such as WIMAX. Responsible for managing and working with Two Way Radio manufacturers, which included companies such as, Motorola, Tait, M/A Com, Thales, Vertex, Kenwood and ICOM to provide next generation antennas and power solutions as they were presented. Communicated forecasts to production, worked with quality management internally and externally to ensure product met with customer specifications and was shipped in accordance to requirements as outlined by customer. Managed accounts that included various federal, state and municipal agencies to provide standard, customized, and covert antennas and systems. My responsibilities also included managing distribution companies by providing them with updated and new product marketing material while providing solutions and answers for product applications.
During my tenure with Larsen I contributed to future planning and strategic direction while coaching internal employees and external sales force. Strategic thinking and networking with key personnel allowed me to grow business internationally and throughout North America by opening new accounts and increasing market share within the existing customer base. My understanding of next generation wireless requirements and the ability to communicate this to both internal and external customers allowed me to achieve double digit increases in sales. The experience achieved while being General Manager and director allowed me to understand the bigger picture from the company’s perspective, while focusing on customer requirements. I also had the opportunity to successfully implement a new network, accounting, inventory and customer management system.
