• Responsible for second line of defence compliance advisory services to the Commercial (Asset Finance and Invoice Finance) and Property Divisions through: o provision of proactive, risk-based regulatory compliance advice; o advising on business embedding of regulatory policies and supporting standards; o provision of training in relation to these policies; o liaison with regulators; o advising on regulatory developments; and o managing conflicts of interest. • Ensure businesses have clear, relevant, actionable understanding of their compliance obligations. • Oversee and provide advice, guidance and support on regulatory requirements as required, in particular, CONC and CCA requirements for regulated lending; ICOBS, PROD and TC for insurance sales; as well as application of, inter alia, DISP, SYSC, PRIN and Consumer Duty. • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including management within the Commercial Division and across the wider Compliance, Risk and Legal teams. • Ensure timely and useful management information is provided to relevant committees and forums for compliance activities across the Commercial Division. • Represent regulatory-related matters through role on monthly Risk and Compliance Committees and through recurring and ad hoc reports to the committees. • Oversee the identification and analysis of regulatory developments, such as FCA publications, to interpret the impact on business areas, including supporting with gap analyses where appropriate. • Understand the Commercial Division strategy and help ensure it is delivered in a manner which meets compliance obligations. • Provide information for the Group Head of Operational Risk and Compliance on the compliance risks and issues that exist and are emerging in the business and how these are being mitigated.
