Emprevo Ltd is a pre-IPO company spun out of an aged care provider a couple of years ago. It has developed a shift marketplace app enabling companies with a large part-time or casual workforce to reduce their labour hire and sms costs when filling vacant shifts after the roster breaks down, as it inevitably does. It also enables the workforce to increase their hours as the available shifts are broadcast more widely on an employee-facing platform. The company's focus is currently the aged care, child care and acute care sectors, but the app has application in any company with a large, casual or part-time workforce. The company's Emprevo and Emprevo+ apps are used by over 70 customers, many with multiple sites across Australia and New Zealand, addressing a workforce in excess of 30,000 who use the apps. I was asked to join on part-time contract to bring some rigour to the finance function and to implement a convertible note issue for the last capital raise. I have since been asked to assume the Company Secretary role, meaning that the position is less part time than I had originally planned.
