We are independent claims adjusting company specializing in the management and resolution of marine and energy claims throughout the country. We have specialized knowledge and experience with hull, protection & indemnity, primary and excess marine liability, ship builder’s risk, cargo, energy, yacht, inland marine claims, salvage, and subrogation. VCS handled the marine claims runoff of Royal SunAlliance, USA (RSA) since January 2004. The claims consisted of hull, cargo, protection & indemnity, primary and excess marine liability, yacht, inland marine, and marine surety claims. VCS has testified on behalf of RSA on various litigation matters, and there was no unfavorable litigation against RSA under our VCS watch. VCS assisted XL Marine Offshore Energy Group in the handling of claims against marine excess liability (bumbershoot) policies, as well as file review on cargo, energy, and hull claims since May 2007. Jose Guerrero received glowing reviews of his claim files. VCS is currently assisting a major insurance company and a managing general agency in the improvement of claims handling by claim file review. Jose Guerrero has been hired as an insurance expert witness and currently engaged with a technology service provider in developing an AI fast track claims unit in the handling of low valued but high-frequency marine cargo claims. Jose has written an article about this subject and also working on the second edition of this book titled: Marine Cargo Insurance: Adjusting, Claims Administration, History.
