Joseph Byrum

-Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of prevention programs including two substance prevention coalitions serving an eight county coverage area, and the prevention & behavioral health program serving at-risk teens in two counties -Supervise prevention staff of four and manage the over $625,000 combined budgets for these programs -Manage the Prevention and Behavioral Health program which provides group discussion based instruction to youth at program sites including schools, juvenile probation offices, and Disciplinary Alternative Education Programs (DAEP) -Serve as primary strategist for two substance use prevention coalitions; responsible for the yearly calendar of events and the success of all coalition projects & events which include the DEA Take Back Event, Red Ribbon Week, Educate Before You Medicate pharmacy initiative, Sticker Shock awareness campaign, and more -Develop grant proposals, letters of inquiry, reports, acknowledgment letters, and other grant-related deliverables -Serve as media liaison for prevention programs; write press releases, give television, radio, and print interviews as needed
